Spotify as a Tool for Wedding Prep
Absolutely no shade if you’re an Apple, Amazon, Tidal or other streaming user, but these days Spotify is definitely leading the way with regards to innovative features and social integration. Here are just a few ways you can use Spotify as a tool to brainstorm tunes, discover new music and make the whole process a little more enjoyable!
Collaborative Playlists
Once you’ve created a playlist, Spotify gives you the option to ‘add collaborators’, as represented by the plus symbol and silhouetted person icon. You can also access it by tapping on the three dots, or right clicking on the playlist, then selecting ‘add collaborators’.
Try creating a playlist to brainstorm ceremony songs and add your partner so you can see each other’s suggestions, or maybe create a dance floor playlist and invite your whole bridal party so that everyone can contribute their favourite party bangers.

2. Blend Playlists
If you’re the couple who struggle to agree on car tunes, this one is for you (we use this all the time)! Creating a ‘blend’ with your partner will make a playlist that features a satisfying mix of both your individual and mutual tastes. This can be helpful during wedding planning to be able to see which songs you both enjoy, or just as some agreeable background tunes for your sit-down planning sesh.
